Razor Pigments 20-30

Razor Sharp Pigments create a freshly-shaved effect. These pigments are designed for men who regularly shave their heads or trim them very short with clippers.
To understand the effect of Razor Sharp Pigment, you need to look at a man who has just shaved. It doesn’t matter what the person’s natural beard or hair color is—black, silver-grey, brown, or red. Once the skin is shaved, the color of the beard always appears silver-grey. This shaved look consistently shows a mix of black and grey tones. This is the color of the hair follicle itself, which always carries a grey and black undertone.

It is also important to know that grey and black are essentially the same color pigment. Grey is simply a dilution of black. If you dilute black pigment with water, it automatically becomes a pigment with a grey tone. The same thing happens when part of the black pigment is expelled by the skin, resulting in a greyish hue. The depth at which the pigment is placed in the skin also affects the final color/tone of the pigment. Scalp pigments must be placed deep in the skin—into the subcutaneous fat layer located close to the skull. The deeper the pigment is placed, the cooler the resulting color will be.
